High inflation. How do I help my employees?
One of the many reasons why I (Nina Simons) wanted to join VIE People is because I can gain a lot of experience at scale-ups and especially because it allows me to look into many different kitchens. At VIE People we see many scale-ups, we then take this experience back to our other clients. Because we all get better from experience, knowledge sharing and best practices.
So I thought: maybe it would be fun to give an inside look at VIE People. And that on a subject I get a lot of questions about lately: inflation. Inflation rates are skyrocketing, fixed costs are getting more expensive and a piece of bread doesn't cost what it used to.

Inflation adjustment
This topic has dominated the news in recent months, and the subject of inflation (correction) is also screaming for attention in the workplace. As an employer, how do you deal with rising costs for your employees?
Of course, this is different for every entrepreneur. In any case, I can give you a heads up on how VIE People has done this with its employees, and then you do yours nicely. So here it comes: How do we handle inflation at VIE People?
First, a survey was done among all VIE'ers. Here we were anonymously asked about how inflation currently affects us. Want to know more about this survey and what exactly was asked? Feel free to get in touch and the questionnaire will come your way!
Measures to strengthen VIE People's contribution as an employer
The leadership team then looked at the results and passed along opportunities on how VIE People can contribute as an employer. From there, the following measures emerged:
- One-time fee
Each VIE'er receives a one-time compensation in the form of a net amount.
- Deployment of budget coach
A collaborative workshop with a budget coach. This workshop will cover such topics as your financial goals, doing paperwork, ways to increase your income and decrease expenses, and creating a budget plan.
- Individual financial aid
You get the opportunity for more individual help as a VIE person. At VIE People's expense, you may use a budget coach, anonymously or not.
- Knowledge session for our work with clients
Perhaps the most important measure: the knowledge session provides information on the background of debt, the signs you as an employer can pick up on financial problems and how to deal with them.

Conclusion
In all communications on this subject, we also invariably receive the following message:
We continue to emphasize that if you have or foresee financial problems or can no longer pay bills, we would like to hear about it so we can work together to find a solution.
I think this is a great outcome and I would wish everyone an employer like this.
