The fact that inequality of opportunity exists within organisations is no longer a matter for discussion; it has even been scientifically proven that inclusiveness increases creativity and the chances of survival of a company. This was the motivation for Marian Spier, who is trying to change the world in her own way.
Marian Spier is an entrepreneur and ceo/founder of TEDxAmsterdamWomen. Marian sits on the Supervisory Boards of the Joop van den Ende Foundation and the Van Gogh Museum, among others. Marian is an expert on inclusion and diversity & opportunity inequality within organizations, leadership and role models. She also wrote the book 'Impact' in which she shares life lessons and talks about leadership, entrepreneurship and opportunity inequality.
The right approach
Marian explains "when we talk about opportunity inequality, inclusiveness and diversity we often talk about recruiters saying 'we are looking for talent'. But if you don't give the talent room to develop, you won't reach the group of people you want to reach." Make sure you dwell on and implement the interests of your target audience. Marian explains.
Impact is how you make it
Marian's book "impact" contains seven lessons on personal and business leadership. Wondering which lessons these are and how you can recognize and apply them yourself? How do you set your course as a business and how do you stay the course? Listen to the latest episode now and get your questions answered.
